Gallery
The preceding pages work through automesh's commands one feature at a time —
segmentation, defeaturing, dualization, remeshing, smoothing — each on a small,
purpose-built case.
The Gallery instead collects common mesh models, drawn from the computational geometry and computer graphics literature as well as from engineering practice.
Models are split by where they come from:
- Academic Models — standard test surfaces from the computational geometry / computer graphics literature, chosen for specific geometric challenges (sharp features, high genus, curvature variation, thin structures).
- Industry Models — parts representative of real mechanical design and analysis work, chosen for practical relevance (manufactured features, assemblies, engineering benchmarks) rather than geometric pathology.
